Feller Contracting transformed a rustic Airbnb basement on the Mississippi River into a cozy retreat. Updates included LVP flooring, a dry bar with a mini fridge, modern lighting, and an open, refreshed bathroom. The pool table room was repaired and reimagined, blending modern touches with cabin charm.
The goal of this basement remodel was to create an inviting and versatile living space while enhancing the rustic, cozy cabin vibes. We started with green shag carpeting, water damage and a very woody cramped bathroom.
We replaced the green shag with durable Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring, offering a modern touch that complements the cabin's natural aesthetic. We replaced the existing "Wet Bar" with a dry bar and a mini beverage fridge. We added a additional can lighting on dimmers to create the perfect ambiance.
To open up the bathroom, the outdated laundry chute and bulky vanity were removed, creating more space. We kept the wood paneling, and used light blue paint as an accent wall. The hallway is painted a neutral white tone to make the tight space feel larger.
The pool table room needed the most work. We found the source of the water damage removed the existing closet. Feller Contracting framed in the unfinished block to add more space to the room and create a nice finished nook.
This basement transformation successfully melds modern conveniences with classic cabin charm, making it a perfect retreat for family and friends.
